Course Overview
Our 40 Hour course satisfies all of the Texas Department of Insurance requirements for obtaining your Texas All-Lines Adjuster License. Once you have completed the course and Final Exam, no further testing or additional coursework will be required. You will only have to submit your Adjuster application and fingerprints to the Texas Department of Insurance for processing of your Adjuster’s License.
The Final Exam is a 150 question, multiple choice exam. You must answer at least 70% of the questions correctly in order to pass the exam. All of our course material is easy to read and understand and includes many real life claim situations.
To recieve your certification, you must first complete the course and pass the final exam. You must then submit your Adjuster application and fingerprints to the Texas Department of Insurance for processing of your adjuster’s license.

Texas All Lines Adjuster Course FAQ's
To become an insurance adjuster in Texas, you must meet a handful of criteria:
- You must first be atleast 18 years old and have a valid drivers license.
- Complete Your Pre-Education: Prior to taking your Texas All Lines Adjuster License exam, you must first complete 40-hours of pre-licensing education.
- Pass the Texas All Lines Adjuster Exam – this is a 150 question exam administered by the Texas Department of Insurance. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass.
- File a license application with the Texas Department of Insurance and submit fingerprints.
The Texas All Lines Adjuster License allows you to handle any line of insurance coverage. The Texas All Lines Adjuster License covers property and causality, public insurance and catastrophe. With your license, you’re eligible to cover residential, commercial, auto, inland marine, ocean marine, farm & ranch, and workers comp.
Staff Adjuster – A staff adjuster is an employee of an insurance company. Entry level starting salaries can vary by company. We have seen entry level starting salaries range from $48,000 – $60,000. You can visit the Jobs / Careers websites for insurance companies that you wish to apply to.
Independent Adjuster – An independent adjuster is an adjuster who is contracted out by an Independent Adjusting Firm to work claims for insurance companies. As an independent adjuster, there, are typically two types of compensation:
Fee Schedule – Each insurance company has their own fee schedule, but most pay on average of $350 – $600 per claim. The average adjuster can usually handle between 3-4 claims per day, while the more efficient adjusters can handle more.
Daily Rate – Each insurance company has their own daily rate schedule. Most pay around $500 – $600 / day. One of the great things about being a Catastrophe Adjuster is that you can work whenever you want to work. Some adjusters work during the fall, while others only work in the spring or summer. Some choose to work 3-4 months a year, while other work 6-9 months, while some choose to work year-round.
